It’s when we come together with loved ones, create lasting memories, and take stock of everything the year has brought us. At Mātātuhi Designs, this season holds a special place in our hearts, and we want to take a moment to celebrate it with you.
What Christmas Means to All of Us
For many, Christmas is about spending time with whānau, sharing kai, and embracing the joy of giving. It’s a time to pause and appreciate the small moments—whether it’s the laughter around the table, the twinkle of lights on a tree, or the simple act of reconnecting with those we hold dear.
At Mātātuhi, Christmas also reminds us of the importance of whanaungatanga (relationships) and manaakitanga (hospitality). These values guide everything we do, from creating our Māori-inspired designs to celebrating the stories and connections they bring into people’s lives.
Reflecting on 2024
This year has been an incredible journey for us. From our conception in February to our launch in April and creating unique designs that celebrate te ao Māori to connecting with so many of you who share our passion for culture and creativity, we’ve been truly humbled by your support. As we approach the new year, we are filled with gratitude for the aroha you’ve shown us.

As the festive season begins, we want to wish you and your whānau a Meri Kirihimete me ngā mihi o te tau hou (Merry Christmas and Happy New Year). Whether you’re celebrating with a big family gathering, a quiet day at home, or something in between, we hope this season is filled with love, laughter, and light.
